TRANE CLEAN EFFECTS ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANER by Merlin Klotz

To whom it may concern:

If women knew they existed every house would have one!!!

Every morning on the way to work I hear ad for companies wanting to clean the dirt out of the air ducts in my house. They talk about allergies, pet dander, etc. in the pipes.

Instead of periodically cleaning dust and contaminants that have settled in the heating system, the Trane Clean Effects Air Cleaner perpetually removes dust, pollen and pet dander before they enter the system. And, it deals not only with those particles that are heavy enough to settle in the pipes to be removed by the duct cleaning companies, but also with particles that would otherwise make it through the system and onto your end tables.

Personally, I installed my first Trane Clean Effects Air Cleaner at my house in Fort Collins. The house backed up to the Horsetooth Reservoir and state park with every wild weed pollen you can imagine. We were also dog sitting my daughter’s three Jack Russell Terriers. However, the overriding reason for getting the air cleaner was that my wife has Multiple Sclerosis. While MS leaves her more sensitive to various allergens, she also lives with perpetual fatigue. My reason to purchase the Trane system was selfish. I have to do all the house work and I DON’T LIKE TO DUST!

We recently moved to Parker and I wouldn’t move into the new house until a Trane Clean Effects was installed. I believe that strongly in the Trane system! We’ve all looked toward the sun lit window and seen dust particles floating in the air, NOT IN MY HOUSE!

If you must sleep with an open window you don’t need to read any further. This is a closed loop system and to be effective must be managed as such.

  • Close the windows, take the screens off and have a clear view because you don’t need them anymore.
  • Air is only filtered when moving through the system so set the furnace fan on constant run 24/7.
  • Use the air conditioner in the summer and heat in the winter. For the in between days use a thermostat that automatically switches between the two.
  • I try to dust about every three months. I say try because I have to look for dust in places like the top of our black appliances. At this time I also spend about a half hour cleaning the elements.

Ok, you’re thinking about the XCEL bill. By keeping the air moving hot or cold spots are minimized so the furnace calls for heat or AC less frequently. My electric and gas bill are typically about $135 and we keep the thermostat at 72 degrees in the summer, 69 degrees winter, having outside lights on all night and not particularly frugal in energy use. When I consider the cost saved now that my wife almost never needs her allergy medications and I would otherwise need to hire a cleaning lady, this is a bargain.

Personally, I believe that Trane holds the “Golden Egg” and doesn’t have a clue of it’s value. Again, if women knew they existed, every house would have one.
